Date:

A few weeks ago, REACH welcomed Olivia Milne to the staff as our new Development and Events Associate. She joins us as we begin the planning process of our 17th Annual Reach for the Stars GalaWe wanted to take some time to get to know our latest member of the REACH team.

Tell us a little about yourself

I’m from Cape Cod and I’ve been working in development for the past two years. I’ve worked at various nonprofits in Boston and in Cleveland. I studied political science at Wheaton College and lived in the Emerson Feminist Perspectives House on campus for three years. While there, our house did volunteer work with NARAL, Planned Parenthood and Sojourner House. I also studied abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland. I’ve lived in Boston for a year and a half now, and I’ve worked at Mount Auburn Hospital and Development Guild DDI.

What are some of your hobbies?

I love yoga! I’m still working on my headstand but slowly making progress. I also like to bake bread. I haven’t made a sourdough loaf yet but I have the starter in my kitchen! I do puzzles to relax in my free time as well.

What are you most excited about in your new job?

I’m excited to learn more about working in the domestic violence field. It’s totally new for me, but I have some great colleagues to learn from! Everyone has been so welcoming and kind, and I’m proud to be working at an organization with such intelligent, passionate people. I can’t wait to make a difference at an organization whose mission is so important and crucial.
