PAVE Alumni Group

On Wednesday, July 7, REACH hosted the second meeting of the newly created PAVE Alumni Group. So far, eight former PAVE Peer Leaders have attended one of the meetings. The group was formed to include former students who attended Waltham High School and participated in PAVE (Peers Against Violence Educators), a peer education club co-facilitated by REACH. PAVE alumni have come together to build a group whose purpose is similar to that of PAVE: to create a safe environment to support each other; learn about and discuss healthy and unhealthy relationships, social media/ pop culture, and identity within culture and context; support each other as advocates for relationships within their lives and communities.

Folks are welcome to join for one meeting or every meeting. This group is excited to reconnect and be grounded in community and learning. As of now the meetings are taking place on Zoom and may continue virtually, as there are members across the country. If you were a member of PAVE while attending Waltham High School and are interested in joining or learning more, please email Molly Pistrang-Gomes at molly@reachma.org. The next meeting is Wednesday, August 4th from 5-6 P.M. EST. Please spread the word!
