REACH Beyond Domestic Violence, a Waltham-based provider of shelter for those suffering from domestic violence, is hosting its annual Reach for the Stars Gala on Saturday, May 3, at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter in South Boston, according to a community announcement.
The event, now in its 21st year, aims to raise funds to support the organization's programing and direct services for survivors of domestic violence, according to the announcement.
Last year, the gala raised nearly $500,000.
REACH Executive Director Amarely Gutiérrez Oliver expressed her enthusiasm for this year's theme, "igniting change together," which aligns with the organization's core values and ongoing strategic planning process.
“Our strategic planning process has ignited a transformative drive in our fight against domestic violence, and this year’s gala will embody that energy," said Gutiérrez Oliver, in a statement. "Even in a challenging political climate, we remain resolute in our mission — turning every setback into an opportunity for bold change.”
The gala begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature catered hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, silent and live auctions hosted by Tom Best, founder of The Auction Collective, and a speaking program emceed by Emmy Award-winning NBC10 news anchor Jericho Tran. Attendees can also enjoy dancing with Boston local DJ Deja.
Funds raised during the gala will support REACH’s education and prevention programs, direct advocacy services, support groups and emergency shelter. These services are provided free of charge to survivors by trauma-informed advocates, regardless of their background, gender or living situation.
Tickets for the gala are available for $300, and individuals and organizations can also explore sponsorship opportunities. More information and ticket purchases can be made at www.givebutter.com/reach2025.
